As part of the UBT-BOKU 2030 project, a delegation from the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment of the Agricultural University of Tirana, consisting of the Dean and the heads of departments, conducted an official visit to the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU University) from 15–17 June 2026.
The visit was carried out within the framework of the joint project that the Agricultural University of Tirana and BOKU University have been implementing for the past two years, with a focus on strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between the two institutions.
One of the main objectives of the visit was to identify and formalize opportunities for the involvement of professors and experts from BOKU University in the teaching activities of the Agricultural University of Tirana, through guest lectures, specialized modules, and other forms of collaboration in teaching and scientific research.
During the meetings, a plan was agreed upon for joint research activities, as well as the exchange of academic staff and students.
The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on curriculum modernization, the integration of scientific research into the teaching process, and the addressing of contemporary challenges in the fields of agriculture, the environment, and rural development.
The UBT delegation also held meetings with the academic and research staff of the partner university to discuss projects in the fields of Agronomy, Environment and Natural Resources, Horticulture, Plant Protection, Animal Sciences, Aquaculture, and Fisheries.
