The "Association Life Sciences Universities for Central and Eastern Europe-CASEE" was officially established today in Bucharest. The founding ceremony brought together representatives of ten leading universities from across the region, who convened to sign the association’s statute and mark the beginning of a strengthened partnership in education, research, and innovation in the life sciences.
The ten founding members of CASEE are:
- Agricultural University of Tirana,
- University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU),
- University of Sarajevo" – Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences,
- "Josip Juraj Strossmayer" University of Osijek – Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek,
- Technical University of Moldova,
- "Ion Ionescu de la Brad" University of Life Sciences Iași,
- University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca,
- "King Michael I" University of Life Sciences Timișoara,
- University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest,
- University of Novi Sad – Faculty of Agriculture.
The newly formed association aims to foster collaboration among life sciences universities in Central and Eastern Europe, promote academic excellence, support joint research initiatives, and contribute to sustainable development in the region. The Association Life Sciences Universities for Central and Eastern Europe-CASEE represents a significant step forward in strengthening regional academic cooperation and advancing knowledge in agriculture, biotechnology, environmental sciences, and related fields.
