Universiteti Bujqësor i Tiranës has expanded its network of international collaborations by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE), one of the most important academic institutions in Hungary in the fields of agriculture, life sciences, and scientific research.
The agreement was signed in Tirana by the Rector of Universiteti Bujqësor i Tiranës, Prof. Dr. Fatbardh Sallaku, and the Rector of Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Prof. Dr. Csaba Gyuricza, with the aim of strengthening academic, research, and institutional cooperation between the two universities. Also present at the signing ceremony was the Ambassador of Hungary in Tirana, Ms. Martina Kasnyik.
The agreement stipulates that the parties will cooperate in areas of mutual interest, including the exchange of students and academic staff, the development of joint research projects, the organization of conferences, seminars, and training programs, as well as collaboration within international programs and networks.
One of the key aspects of this cooperation is also the support for the co-supervision of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral theses, the promotion of scientific publications, and joint applications for international research and innovation projects.
This collaboration comes at an important moment for the transformation and internationalization of Universiteti Bujqësor i Tiranës, within the framework of the UBT2030 reform, creating new opportunities for students, academic staff, and researchers to expand their academic and professional experiences in a European dimension.
