The Agricultural University of Tirana was part of the 5th Nationwide Academic and Scientific Book Fair, which opened at the premises of the Academy of Sciences of Albania, bringing together academic institutions, researchers, and students from Albania and the region.
UBT was represented with its stand featuring academic and scientific publications, which attracted strong interest from visitors throughout the first day of the fair. Students, lecturers, and individuals from various fields stopped by the university’s stand to closely explore the available literature, as well as to purchase publications related to life sciences, agriculture, economics, and the environment. The level of interest shown confirms the importance of these publications and highlights UBT’s role as a key center for the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the country.
The opening ceremony of the fair was held in the presence of representatives from academic and diplomatic institutions. The event was inaugurated by the Chairman of the Academy of Sciences of Albania, Skënder Gjinushi. The Ambassador of Turkey to Albania also took part in the ceremony, highlighting the importance of inter-academic cooperation and the role of such activities in strengthening international ties.
The fair will remain open to the public from April 22 to 24, 2026, offering an important platform for the exchange of ideas, the promotion of scientific publications, and bringing students closer to contemporary academic literature.
UBT’s participation in this fair once again confirms the university’s commitment to actively contributing to the development and dissemination of scientific knowledge in Albania and beyond.
