Today, the second day of the 18th joint Mission with BOKU University of Vienna was held at the Agricultural University of Tirana, focusing on continuing the work initiated the previous day and on parallel sessions aimed at finalizing the new study programs.
The morning began with an update from the Veterinary Medicine Working Group on the current status of the program review. In parallel, the Veterinary Medicine Group worked on the implementation of the new VetMed program, addressing academic and structural issues.
Subsequently, the work continued in several parallel sessions, during which new Master’s programs were presented, ranging from Agronomy to Water Management.
As part of the parallel sessions, a session dedicated to the implementation of the academic offer and its administration was held, led by Prof. Dr. Ilir Kapaj, Vice-Rector for Teaching at UBT. During this session, the processes of planning, implementation, and monitoring of study programs were discussed in detail, with a focus on aligning the academic offer with students’ needs and labor market demands, as well as on the role of academic administration in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and sustainability of teaching at the Agricultural University of Tirana.
In the afternoon, the parallel sessions continued with in-depth discussions on the administration of teaching, joined by the Communication Group, led by Assoc. Prof. Romina Koto, to discuss internal and external marketing strategies for all the new programs. The PR Group also presented the planned activities for promoting the new programs.
The Scientific Research Group convened at the Rectorate to address issues related to mobility programs, new doctoral programs, and academic competencies at UBT, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Erinda Lika.
The second day of BOKU’s 18th Mission at UBT concluded with a summary of the work carried out and key discussions on the programs, reaffirming the shared commitment of UBT and BOKU to developing modern, practical programs aligned with European higher education standards.
