AUT Participates in the NET4GREEN Project Roundtable Discussion in Tirana

The Agricultural University of Tirana took part in the roundtable discussion organized within the framework of the NET4GREEN project, focusing on the analysis of the main needs, gaps, and challenges in the development of entrepreneurship and the green economy in Albania.

The meeting brought together representatives from academic institutions, support organizations, and other ecosystem actors, placing special emphasis on empowering young people and women entrepreneurs in the green sector. The discussions focused on the lack of structured incubation programs and practical bootcamps for the development of green ideas and startups, as well as on the need for capacity building that bridges the gap between an idea and its concrete implementation in the market.

Special attention was given to the role of universities in promoting sustainable entrepreneurship through the active involvement of students, the use of university laboratories, academic mentoring, and the strengthening of collaboration with the private sector. In this context, AUT emphasized its commitment to contributing to the creation of a more functional and sustainable ecosystem for green innovation.

Participants also underlined the importance of support mechanisms that go beyond funding, including dedicated development programs, institutional support, and continuous interaction among various stakeholders. The discussions highlighted the need for more structured and operational interventions aimed at addressing existing challenges and fostering the sustainable development of green entrepreneurship in the country.
