The agreement, signed by the Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Fatbardh Sallaku, and the Rector of Western Balkans University, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, establishes a sustainable framework for interinstitutional cooperation, focusing on academic development, scientific research, and the exchange of experiences between the two higher education institutions.

Both rectors considered this step to be very important, as it brings the universities closer through their shared interest in cooperation and the exchange of experiences and knowledge in the development of teaching and research, as well as within the broader efforts to expand inter-university contacts.

At the core of this agreement is a commitment to expand joint scientific activities, conduct studies and research projects, and promote the mobility of students and academic staff. The agreement also foresees the exchange of academic publications, participation in conferences, and the creation of joint platforms for scientific publications.

The agreement emphasizes respect for academic autonomy and the application of European standards of integrity in scientific research, ensuring cooperation based on ethical principles and academic quality.
