Turkish students attend a lecture on biosafety at UBT and gain firsthand insight into laboratory practices

The Agricultural University of Tirana welcomed a group of 7 students from Turkey, who participated in a special lecture on biosafety in veterinary practices, delivered by Prof. Dr. Xhelil Koleci at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

The lecture focused on the importance of biosafety on farms and in veterinary practice, as well as the use of personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of professionals and the well-being of animals. Students from the Agricultural University of Tirana, specifically from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in their second and third years, also took part in this activity. Together with the Turkish students, they had the opportunity to learn more about this topic and engage in interactive discussions.

The students from Turkey, who are pursuing their studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Afyon Kocatepe University, had the opportunity to closely observe a practical and modern approach to the topic of biosafety.

They were also introduced to the animal health laboratory at UBT, where they became familiar with how the lab operates, its modern equipment, and specific cases related to veterinary diagnostics and safety, in line with the topics covered during the lecture.

In the coming days, the students will continue to explore field practices, gaining a comprehensive academic and professional experience.
