The Agriculture University of Tirana continued its activities within the framework of the 19th mission of BOKU University from Vienna, organizing a series of working sessions focused on strengthening university administration, developing doctoral programs, and promoting study programs.
The second day began intensively with a session dedicated to university administration, where Etleva Shore, Director of Human Resources at the Agricultural University of Tirana, together with Anika Stork and Prof. Hubert Hasenauer from BOKU University, presented the current situation at the Agriculture University of Tirana. This first session was attended by the vice-rectors, deans, and representatives of the university administration, including heads of finance, human resources, and the project office. The discussions focused on the analysis of current administrative processes, the identification of the institution’s needs and objectives, as well as the definition of the next steps to improve the functioning of administrative structures.
The second day’s work continued with other administrative and academic aspects, where a detailed analysis of the existing situation was carried out and discussions focused on defining responsibilities, assessing institutional gaps, and identifying the university’s needs in this regard. This session also featured contributions from Vice-Rector for Teaching at AUT, Prof. Dr. Ilir Kapaj, and Prof. Dr. Endrit Kullaj from the Office of International Relations.
A separate session of the research group on PhD program regulations at AUT was held at midday, led by Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Dr. Erinda Lika, and Prof. Dr. Spase Shumka. During this meeting, the current doctoral procedures at the university were presented, along with the latest developments and the challenges related to improving this process. The discussions also focused on the academic mobility program and the application procedures for researchers and PhD candidates.
In the afternoon, a session dedicated to the communication and promotion of study programs was held, presented by Vice-Rector for Communication, Assoc. Prof. Romina Koto, and Director of Public Relations, Besmira Pelushaj. During this meeting, discussions focused on marketing strategies, promotional activities, and internal institutional communication.
The BOKU delegation appreciated the work carried out by the Agriculture University of Tirana (AUT) so far in most of the tasks that had emerged from the last meeting held by BOKU University at AUT.
These sessions are part of the broader reform and modernization process of the Agriculture University of Tirana, within the framework of the AUT Strategy 2030, which is being developed with the academic support and expertise of BOKU University from Vienna.
