Friday was the final day of the 19th mission of BOKU University from Vienna to AUT, a working visit focused on advancing academic and institutional reforms within the framework of the AUT-BOKU 2030 strategy.
In an open session with the academic staff of AUT, the Rector of the Agricultural University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Fatbardh Sallaku, thanked the BOKU delegation for all the work done during these intensive days regarding the doctoral programs, administration, as well as communication and promotion.
Prof. Dr. Hubert Hasenauer delivered a closing speech, presenting the results of the sessions and also focusing on the next steps for promoting the academic mobility program and international collaborations.
Prof. Hasenauer stated that he was very satisfied with the progress made by the staff of the Agricultural University of Tirana and emphasized that what is most important is that there is a positive spirit at UBT to move the processes forward.
Rector Sallaku and the BOKU coordinator, Prof. Hasenauer, emphasized the importance of discussions and joint work between the teams of the two universities, especially in terms of improving the regulations and structure of doctoral programs, strengthening university administration, and developing more effective strategies for communication and the promotion of study programs.
The team from Vienna assigned several tasks to the AUT staff, which will be completed for the benefit of the university and will be discussed during the 20th BOKU mission that will take place in May.
After the open session with the academic staff, a meeting of the project management board was also held at the Rectorate, where issues related to the coordination and management of joint activities were discussed.
The 19th BOKU mission to the Agriculture University of Tirana concluded after two intensive days of meetings and discussions, once again confirming the strong partnership between the two universities and the commitment to the further modernization of UBT in line with European standards.
