A cooperation agreement between AUT and the University of Prishtina is signed

In the festive atmosphere of the 56th anniversary of the founding of the University of Prishtina, the Agricultural University of Tirana signed a cooperation agreement with this institution, marking a new stage in the academic collaboration between the two universities.

The UBT delegation, led by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatbardh Sallaku, participated in this event at the invitation of the Rector of the University of Prishtina, Prof. Dr. Arben Hajrullahu. Participation in this important institutional anniversary and the signing of the agreement represent a concrete step toward deepening cooperation between the two universities, which play a significant role in the academic and scientific development of Albania and Kosovo.

The agreement establishes a structured framework for cooperation in the areas of the teaching process, scientific research, innovation, staff and student mobility, as well as institutional capacity building. It aims to enhance academic quality and strengthen the regional dimension of higher education by creating new synergies between the two institutions.

Special emphasis was placed on strengthening cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, a faculty in which UBT has historically played a leading role in the development of academic and human capacities. This collaboration opens new pathways for joint research projects, academic exchanges, joint curricula, and scientific contributions with tangible impact.

During the visit to Prishtina, the UBT delegation also held a meeting with the Ambassador of Albania to Kosovo, Mr. Petrit Malaj, giving the cooperation a clear institutional and diplomatic dimension.

This new partnership reflects UBT’s vision to strengthen strategic ties in the region and to consolidate its role as an important center of research, innovation, and sustainable academic development within the Albanian-speaking space.
