The Agricultural University of Tirana (UBT) will host the international workshop “Application potentials for biochar from organic wastes in Albania with special consideration of water treatment” from 21–24 September 2026, as part of the BAAWAs project.
The workshop will focus on the potential of using biochar produced from organic waste, organic waste management, and opportunities for applying biochar, particularly in water treatment.
The programme will take place at UBT and in the Municipality of Belsh, featuring scientific presentations, discussions on organic waste management, a visit to UBT laboratories, as well as farm and field visits around Lake Belsh.
